Erin Dinan

After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Erin packed a bag and set forth for the world. She spent her time abroad working in Europe, volunteering in Africa, and chanting with monks in Japan. 31 countries and 2 years later, she moved to New York, where she currently sells and exhibits her photographs from abroad. Erin is driven by humanity, holistic health and compassion. She encompasses these 3 passions by working at SanaVita, exhibiting her art and running a non-profit, One Sandwich at a Time, that aims to raise awareness, compassion and understanding for our city’s homeless population.

What’s your favorite food/meal?

Kimchi! I adore the Korean culture and their emphasis on fermented cabbage and steamed veggies as the source of all essential nutrients.

What’s your favorite recipe?

Kimchi, Avocado, rice noodles, a squeeze of a lemon, cinnamon, and tumeric.

What’s your favorite quote?

Who has had the most influence on your life?

My father. He flew planes and hot air balloons for a career and always said “Go out and find your passion. Whether you want to be a ditch digger or a doctor, be the best one you can be”

What do you do when you’re not at SanaVita?

I work as a fine art photographer and exhibit work throughout the city. I also run a non-profit, One Sandwich at a Time, which aims to raise awareness for NYC’s homeless.

Which supplements do you find indispensable in your own life?

I try to gather all of my essential nutrients from my diet.

How do you like to cleanse when you’re cleansing?

I combine juices and veggies for a period of time, and try to alkalize my body. I am also a fan of liver flushes, as the liver is the storing house for toxins.

How do you like to indulge, when you do?

A glass of red wine, dark chocolate, a good friend, and jazz music!

If you had to give only one piece of health advice, what would it be?

Create your own happiness. Dance and laugh all you can because once you are calm and peaceful in the mind, the physical health will follow.
